Situated along the Blue Ridge Parkway, walking distance to Price Lake, and minutes from downtown Blowing Rock make us an easy choice for visitors.
We’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to. Discover a fully stocked kitchen, bedrooms with more than just the essentials, plus extra supplies in the bathrooms.
Expansive moss covered yard surrounded by towering trees and native rhododendrons. Gather around the large rock fire pit featuring adirondack chairs.
Three outdoor decks provide the opportunity to indulge in the surroundings while soaking in the hot tub, drinking coffee at the bistro table, grilling out, or unwinding on a rocking chair.
Mesh 6 routers support fast wifi throughout the cabin, two large smart TVs with included streaming subscriptions to Disney + and Netflix.
We love families! Outdoor adventure gear such as an all-terrain stroller and hiking carrier packs offered. Child plates/utensils, baby gate, toys, pack-n-play, and high chair also provided.
Dogs are family and great companions in the mountains. You may include up to two during your stay. Doggy supplies included. See pet policy.

The High Country sits at the top of North Carolina — and it shows. At 4,000+ feet, summers are cool, the air is clean, and the pace is completely different. Waterfalls, forest trails, Christmas tree farms, and ridge line views in every direction.
Blowing Rock is the heart of it – a small walkable town with great restaurants, local breweries, boutique shops, and along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Boone and Banner Elk are minutes away for even more to explore.

Hemlock Hill Cabin has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms over three floors. We can accommodate up to eight people, including children. See Cabin Layout page for more information.
No, our driveway is gravel, short, and only at a slight incline (see gallery photo). The cabin is easily accessible throughout the year. Extra care should be taken during winter months. See next question.
In general we recommend AWD/4WD for driving throughout the High Country during winter (technically October to April). The neighborhood is paved and plowed during inclement weather. While our gravel driveway is short and at a slight incline, it may be a challenge during times of ice or deep snow. We provide a shovel and rock salt. Unfortunately, due to the weather being unpredictable we are unable to award refunds or credits due to inclement weather. Please consider travel insurance.
Designed with families in mind (we’re parents too), the cabin is perfect for guests of all ages. Pack-n-play, high chair, hiking child carrier, all terrain stroller, monitor, baby gate, and toys/games are available. We love welcoming little ones but please protect your children as the house is not fully childproofed.
We accept up to two dogs with a fee. All pets must be disclosed to hosts. Pet rules must be followed and respected.
Check-in is at 3pm and checkout is 10am. Alternative times may be available as an add-on service. Inquire with your hosts if you’re interested.
