Hemlock Hill is about 10 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock by car. The town center has restaurants, ice cream shops, boutiques, and a weekly farmers market that makes for an easy afternoon out. Close enough to enjoy everything Blowing Rock has to offer, far enough to feel like you are truly away from it all.
The neighborhood is peaceful and safe. After passing a few manufactured homes on the way in, you will find other cabins tucked away along the loop — the kind of quiet, low-traffic road where you can actually take a walk without worrying about cars. It is a great neighborhood for an evening stroll or a morning walk with the dog.
The driveway accommodates plenty of cars, so there is no need to worry about street parking. Please note that during winter months AWD is recommended due to the slight gravel incline.
Yes — the hot tub is available and maintained year round. There is nothing quite like soaking in the hot tub on a cold mountain night with the stars overhead.
Cell signal can be spotty at the cabin depending on your carrier. We recommend turning on WiFi calling before you arrive — this uses the cabin’s high speed WiFi to make and receive calls just like normal. Once WiFi calling is enabled you should have no issues staying connected.
Yes! High speed WiFi is available throughout the cabin via a mesh network, so you get strong signal on all three floors and out on the decks.
Yes! Hemlock Hill has five mini split systems throughout the cabin, providing both heating and air conditioning on every level. Whether you are visiting in the middle of summer or the depths of a High Country winter, you will always be comfortable inside. Each unit can be controlled independently so every room stays at exactly the temperature you want.
